I am a total sucker for all of the rose flavored things that seem to be popping up everywhere out there. Fentimans rose lemonade & Townshend’s white rose kombucha to name a few. Even my favorite little frozen yogurt cart had rose flavored fro-yo last week. One might be afraid they are about to experience the taste of eating soap or potpourri from their grandma’s house… but nope. Rose is subtle and sweet and lovely. So I decided to make a large batch of rose petal iced tea using this tea from Tao of Tea. Very lightly sweetened with agave nectar. Simple & refreshing!
- 6 cups filtered water
- 4 tbsp loose leaf tea
- sweetener of your choice
Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Turn off heat and add tea. Allow to steep for 5-10 minutes, depending on desired strength. Remove tea, add sweetener to taste. Cool to room temperature. Transfer to large jar or pitcher and place in refrigerator until cold. Enjoy!
